1. About this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to our website at anoviwellness.com (the "Website"). It describes which personal data we process when you visit the Website, for which purposes, and on which legal basis.
Last updated: August 2026. The current version of this Privacy Policy is always available on our website.
This Privacy Policy does not cover the Anovi App. For data you record in the App, see our separate App Privacy Policy.
For more information about the provider, see our Impressum.
The German version is authoritative. An English version is also available; in case of any inconsistency, the German version prevails.
2. Who is responsible
The controller responsible for processing your personal data on this Website is:
Pragathi Jayaram, doing business as Anovi Wellness
Karlsruher Straße 32
70771 Leinfelden-Echterdingen
Germany
Email: hello@anoviwellness.com
We have not designated a Data Protection Officer because the legal requirements (Art. 37 GDPR; § 38 BDSG) are not met.
If you have any questions about data protection, you can contact us at any time at the email address above. For more information about the provider, see our Impressum.
3. Who this Privacy Policy applies to
This Website is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from people under 16 through the Website.
If we learn that someone under 16 has provided personal data through the Website, for example through the Android notification or the contact form, we will delete that data promptly.
The Anovi App is not covered by this Website Privacy Policy and is intended exclusively for people aged 18 and over. More in our separate App Privacy Policy.
4. What data we collect and why
We process your data in four areas. For each area, we tell you what we collect, why, and on which legal basis.
4.1 Website visits and cookieless analytics
When you visit our Website, we use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service. It does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. Visitors are counted using a daily-rotating hash created from the incoming request, and the visitor-session lifespan is discarded after 24 hours. Analytics data is aggregated and is not made available to us in a way that identifies individual visitors.
Vercel may process technical data outside the EU/EEA; where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) for such transfers. More on our service providers is in Section 5 and on transfers outside the EU in Section 6.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) for aggregated analysis of website usage, to understand and improve the Website's content and performance. Because Vercel Web Analytics operates without cookies and without storing data on your device, no consent is required under § 25 of the German Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz (TDDDG).
4.2 Android notification
Anovi is available on the App Store for iPhone. The Android version is still in development. When you sign up for the Android notification, we process your email address for the following purposes:
- Storing your email address as a contact in the audience of our email service provider Resend, so we can let you know once the Android version is available
- Sending you a confirmation email acknowledging your signup
- Sending a notification to our support inbox so we can record the signup internally
You can unsubscribe from the Android notification at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by contacting us at hello@anoviwellness.com. After you unsubscribe, we remove your email address from the audience.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You give us your consent by submitting the Android notification signup. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal (Art. 7(3) sentence 2 GDPR).
4.3 Contact form
When you contact us through the contact form on this Website, we process your name, your email address, and the content of your message. These data are routed through our email service provider Resend to our support inbox at hello@anoviwellness.com.
We use this information solely to handle your inquiry or request and to reply to you.
Please note that you decide what you write in the contact-form message. We do not actively ask for special categories of personal data (for example health-related information). If you choose to include such information in your message, we process it solely to handle your inquiry and delete it once it is no longer needed.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking pre-contractual steps) where your inquiry concerns a possible contractual relationship, for example a question about the product before using the App; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) otherwise, in order to respond to your contact.
4.4 Storage on your device
We do not set cookies or comparable storage mechanisms for advertising, tracking, or analytics on the Website. Vercel Web Analytics operates without cookies and without storing data on your device; see Section 4.1.
Where our hosting provider, in individual cases, uses technical mechanisms strictly necessary to provide the Website securely, this is based on § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary for providing the requested service); no consent is required for this.
We do not use advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA, Google Advertising ID), tracking pixels, session-replay recordings, or device or browser fingerprinting that persists beyond your visit to the Website.
4.5 What we do NOT process
For clarity on what does not happen:
- We do not sell your data. No sale, no exchange, no rental to third parties.
- We do not use advertising identifiers. No advertising IDs, no tracking pixels, no cookie-based profiling, no device or browser fingerprinting that persists beyond your visit to the Website.
- We do not currently send marketing communications. We use the Android notification email addresses solely to inform you that the Android version is available and about directly related product information. Should you ever receive promotional content beyond that by email in future, we will ask you first explicitly.
- We do not knowingly process data from people under 16 through the Website (see Section 3).
- We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you (Art. 22 GDPR not engaged).
- We do not actively ask for special categories of personal data through the Website, such as health-related information. More on the App is in our separate App Privacy Policy.
5. Service providers
To operate our Website, we engage carefully selected service providers. Where they act as processors for us, they process your personal data on our documented instructions and under a data processing agreement within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR. We currently use the following service providers:
- Vercel Inc. (Website hosting, security and performance infrastructure, cookieless web analytics). Static content is delivered through Vercel's globally distributed CDN; server-side functions are configured for the Frankfurt region (
fra1). Vercel may process technical data outside the EU/EEA in order to provide the service. - Resend, Inc. (transactional email delivery and Android notification contact storage). Resend stores the email address from signups, sends the confirmation email to you, routes contact-form messages to our support inbox at
hello@anoviwellness.com, and logs delivery for operational purposes.
More on transfers outside the EU is in Section 6; on retention in Section 7.
6. Transfers outside the EU
Some of our service providers are based outside the European Union or operate globally distributed infrastructure that may process data outside the EU/EEA in order to provide the service.
Where personal data is transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms under GDPR. These include the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 GDPR and, where the relevant recipient is certified, an adequacy decision such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Where required, we also assess the transfer and apply supplementary technical and organisational measures.
Despite these safeguards, we cannot fully exclude that public authorities in third countries may access personal data, or that you may not have the same legal remedies as within the EU/EEA.
You can request further information about the transfer safeguards we use, including a copy of the relevant Standard Contractual Clauses, by contacting us at hello@anoviwellness.com. We may redact confidential or security-sensitive information where necessary.
The service providers we use are listed in Section 5.
7. Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
Analytics data. The visitor-session lifespan in Vercel Web Analytics is discarded after 24 hours; see Section 4.1. Aggregated statistics may be retained longer in line with the provider's retention rules, without identifying individual visitors.
Android notification. We keep your email address as a contact until you unsubscribe, or until the Android version has been released and we have told you about it. After you unsubscribe, we remove your email address from the audience.
Contact form. We keep your contact-form message for as long as needed to handle your request and to comply with related operational and legal retention obligations.
Records we may keep longer. Where the law requires us to retain specific records, for example business records under tax or commercial law, we keep those records for the period required by the applicable law.
Your right to erasure and other data-subject rights are described in Section 8.
8. Your rights and how to exercise them
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. The table below summarises each right and how to exercise it in relation to the Website. These rights may be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
| Right | What it means | How to exercise it |
|---|---|---|

How to contact us about your rights. Email hello@anoviwellness.com. We may ask you to verify your identity, in particular for access and portability requests, to make sure we send your data only to you.
Response time. We respond within one month of receiving your request. Where the request is complex or where we receive a high volume of requests, we may extend that period by up to two further months and will let you know in advance.
Right to lodge a complaint. If you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority for Anovi is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW), Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany (baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de). You may also lodge a complaint with another competent supervisory authority.
9. Social media profiles
We maintain profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn. If you visit or interact with these profiles, the respective platform processes your data under its own privacy policy. Depending on your interaction, we may receive information that the platform makes available to us, such as your profile name, comments, messages, or other interactions. We do not embed social media plugins, share buttons, or tracking pixels on the Website.
10. The Anovi App
Anovi Wellness offers a separate mobile App. Personal data is processed inside the App, including nutrition and wellness-related information. This processing is not covered by this Website Privacy Policy but by the separate App Privacy Policy.
11. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our Website, our service providers, or applicable law. The effective date is shown at the top of this policy.
Where we make material changes, for example a new processing purpose, a change in the lawful basis, a new service provider, or a change to your rights, we will notify you in an appropriate way, such as by email to people signed up for the Android notification or through a prominent notice on the Website. If a material change affects processing for which we rely on your consent, we will ask for your renewed consent where required.
The most recent version of this Privacy Policy is always available on our website.
